| Purpose of the meeting The board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. In addition, staff will request the board’s approval of the following: 1. Notice of Intended Regulatory Action to repeal the Rules and Regulations for the Enforcement of the Virginia Weights and Measures Law (2 VAC 5-340), 2. Notice of Intended Regulatory Action to repeal the Rules and Regulations Pertaining to the Registration and Certification of Grape Nursery Stock (2 VAC 5-470), and 3. Final Action to adopt the Regulations for the Application of Fertilizer to Nonagricultural Lands (2 VAC 5-405). Staff will also review the public comments received concerning the proposed regulation Health Requirements Governing the Admission of Agricultural Animals, Companion Animals, and Other Animals or Birds Into Virginia (2 VAC 5-141). The board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate at the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice at least five days before the meeting date, so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation. | |||||||
