| Purpose of the meeting The Board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. In conjunction with the Board meeting, the Board will hold a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. to receive public comment on the proposed regulation – Health Requirements Governing the Admission of Agricultural Animals, Companion Animals, and Other Animals or Birds Into Virginia (2 VAC 5-141). In addition, staff will request the Board’s approval of the following regulatory actions: (1) Final Action - Adoption of Regulations Pertaining to Food for Human Consumption (2 VAC 5-600), (2) Notice of Intended Regulatory Action – Regulation of the Harvest of Ginseng (2 VAC 5-321), (3) Notice of Intended Regulatory Action – Regulations for Enforcement of the Noxious Weed Law (2 VAC 5-217), and (4) Final Action - Repeal of Regulations for the Enforcement of the Virginia Gasoline and Motor Fuel Law (2 VAC 5-420). The Board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate at the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice at least five days before the meeting date so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation. | |||||||
