| Purpose of the meeting The public is also informed that one committee member will participate by telephone at the following site: Mr. David Cline, Assoc. Superintendent for Finance and Support Services Prince William County Public Schools, 14800 Joplin Road, Manassas, Virginia 20112 703-791-8701. Interested persons may be present and listen to the business at this site, if desired. This meeting is a working session, and public comment will not be received at this time. Section 22.1-212.9 of the Code of Virginia provides for the review of charter school applications by the Virginia Board of Education if the charter school applicant chooses to submit its application for review. To meet the intent of the legislation, the Virginia Board of Education has established a Charter School Application Review Committee. The objective of the Charter School Application Review Committee is to read and evaluate public charter school applications based on the criteria, consistent with state law, and prepare a consensus report as technical assistance to the charter school applicant. It is not the responsibility of the committee or board to approve or disapprove an application. Contact: Diane L.
