| Purpose of the meeting Second meeting of the Regulatory Advisory Panel established to assist the Department in the development of a permit by rule for small renewable wind energy projects. The permit by rule is being developed in response to legislation passed by the 2009 General Assembly (HB 2175/SB 1347). A Notice of Intended Regulatory Action will be published in the future for this rulemaking. The notice of the establishment of the Panel appeared in the Virginia Register on June 8, 2009. In the afternoon, the RAP will break up into subcommittee meetings (living resources, non-living/land-use, and general) to discuss specific issues regarding small wind energy projects permits by rule. | |
