| Purpose of the meeting The meeting of the Board will be a two-day event that includes the Board meeting on August 4, 2009 and Board tour on August 5, 2009. The Board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. The Board will consider a Notice of Intended Regulatory Action to repeal 2 VAC 5-420, Regulations for the Enforcement of the Virginia Gasoline and Motor Fuel Law and an exempt action to implement 2 VAC 5-315, Imported Fire Ant Quarantine. At 2:00 p.m., the Board will hold a public hearing on the implementation of a permanent Imported Fire Ant Quarantine that includes the counties of James City and York; and the independent cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg. The Board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate at the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice at least five days before the meeting date so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation.
