| Purpose of the meeting Pursuant to § 3.1-188.23 of the Code of Virginia, the Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services has issued a temporary (90-day) quarantine relating to the emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis). A copy of the temporary quarantine is printed below. If it appears that a quarantine for more than 90 days will be necessary, § 3.1-188.23 provides that the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services shall hold a public hearing on extending the Commissioner’s temporary quarantine. | |
