| Purpose of the meeting The board will meet on August 19, 2008, as well as touring Suffolk and the surrounding areas on August 20, 2008. For directions, call 757-925-1300. The Board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. In addition, staff will present to the Board proposed changes to 2 VAC 5-585, Retail Food Establishment Regulation; review changes to 2 VAC 5-330, Rules and Regulations for Enforcement of the Virginia Pest Law-Virginia Gypsy Moth Quarantine; and request approval to initiate action to promulgate 2 VAC 5-405, a new fertilizer regulation required by SB 135 (2008). At 2:00 p.m., the Board will hold a public hearing on the implementation of the Emerald Ash Borer Quarantine that includes Fairfax County. The Board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate at the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice at least five days before the meeting date so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation. | |
