Purpose of the meeting
A public hearing to receive comments on a draft permit amendment and variance request regarding the Augusta Regional Landfill. The Augusta County Service Authority has applied for an amendment to a permit that allows a lateral expansion of approximately 43 acres of a sanitary landfill, using an alternate liner system. The total landfill acreage will become approximately 78 acres. The public comment period begins on June 10, 2008 and ends on July 25, 2008.
