Purpose of the meeting
A public hearing to receive comments on a proposed Virginia Water Protection Permit for Cutalong, LLC to construct a residential development on a 1,007 acre parcel in Louisa County, Virginia. The proposed development consists of approximately 846 residential units; associated utilities and infrastructure; 18-hole golf course; clubhouse; boat storage facility; boat common area with 98 boat slips; water withdrawal from Contrary Creek; and dredging of Contrary Creek/Lake Anna. The proposed activities shall result in the total impact of 11.93 acre of surface waters, consisting of 10.32 acres of permanent, 1.14 acres of conversion, and 0.47 acre of temporary. The comment period begins on June 6, 2008 and ends on July 25, 2008. An informational briefing conducted by the Department before the public hearing beginning at 6:00 p.m.
