| Purpose of the meeting The Education, Planning and Outreach Committee of the Board of Game and Inland Fisheries intends to meet to discuss relevant issues including: an amendment to the Board Governance Manual to reflect that the purpose of the Wildlife and Boat Committee shall also include serving as the Motorboat Committee in accordance with §29.1-701 of the Code of Virginia; an amendment to the Education, Planning, and Outreach Committee Charter to specify that the meeting schedule is on a fiscal year basis and review of Board polices. The committee will hear staff presentations on the following: Legislative updates for the 2008 Session of the Virginia General Assembly; Strategic Planning; Children in Nature; and the Direct Marketing Program for Lapsed Anglers. The Committee and Staff will also conduct a review and update of the Board Member Orientation Manual and discuss other business appropriate to the committee’s charter. | |
