Title Occupational Injury and Illness Recording and Reporting Requirements, §§1904.0 through 1904.46; and Amendments
Document ID 12-152C
Summary Transmitted the revised final rule for Occupational Injury and Illness Recording and Reporting. Informed staff about the repeal of Accident Reports, Occupational Injury and Illness Records and the Annual Survey, 16 VAC 25-60-50 -16 VAC 25-60-70, respectively, in the VOSH ARM. Revised hearing loss recording criteria in §1904.10(a) and 1904.10(b)(1)-(7). Federal OSHA delayed implementation of §§1904.10, 1904.12 and the 2nd sentence of §1904.29(b)(7)(vi) until 1/1/04 because OSHA plans to publish a final rule in 2003 to resolve the MSD definition issue for 2004 and beyond.(This change was previously inadvertently omitted.) Deleted musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) on the OSHA 300 Log because federal OSHA determined that there was no justification for a separate MSD column on the Log if an employee has work-relatef MSD.
