Eliminate Social Security Numbers.  They are used for identity theft and government intrusion into the privacy of citizens.

Over and Over individuals privacy and security has been violated by loose handling of personal information. We must eliminate this hazard!

I am totally against using SS#'s on documents. This is for the use of the Department of Social Security. If VA wants to assign their own number, then do it.

Based on the current security climate if you dont eliminate them then it is a public disservice

Enact legislation to eliminate social security numbers in public forms.

The social security number of every american has been so widely misused in every system in the country from D.M V. to the Health care system.I have thought about this problem many times and to me there is what I think a simple method to solve the problem.  Issue a pin number to all existing S.S.holders for their present number. That way if someone has stolen your Number or is using it somewhere else it well become void.                                                        R Frydrych
