the proposed changes to the voter registration form should not be implemented as they would introduce errors and decrease the reliability and accuracy of the voter registration process. voting is one of the greatest proviledges of citizenship and voter fraud undermines that privilege and good government in general. every effort should be made to ensure that each vote cast has been cast by a legal and valid citizen. in this day and age it is confusing and agrivating that this is even being discussed. before anyone can buy a pack of cigarettes they can be required to show an ID yet anyone can just walk into a voting center and with a easily counterfitted document cast vote. it is very easy to obtain state issued ID's (and if that's the problem then by all means streamline that process!). those ID's should be required to vote. the citizen's voting privilege is too important to water down with a system that does not positively validate an individuals right to cast a vote.
