The proposed changes to the voter registration forms are not appropriate and compromise the integrity and value of the votes of legal, law abiding US citizens. These changes are not in the interest of the citizens and are not acceptable. A positive affirmative statement of citizenship and no felony convictions is really the least of safeguards that should be afforded to citizens to protect their vote. This is in no way a burden on an applicant. The changes are an affront to the citizens, not warranted, and not of good intention. Elections should be decided by citizens only, per the constitutions of the US and state.
