State oversight and clear communications of regs are important, do not approve these changes

Providing a clear understanding of the requirements of a state program is important in educational regulations.  Providing state oversite of the implementation of these programs ensures that the requirements are met in a consistant manner in all areas of the state.  The gifted program works here, and I expect as a taxpayer that it works as well in all parts of the state.

Please do not approve changes to the program that may allow individual school systems to "interpret" the requirements in such a way as to introduce inequities across the state.  Keep state review of program implemetation that provides for oversight of how the requirements are being met.  Quality education is of paramount importance.  The current regulations are helping meet that goal.
