Yes to proposed health care change

I strongly support this proposed change to the health care plan of Virginia allowing additional qualified adults to be covered.

Contrary to what opponents say, there will be no increased burden on the Virginia taxpayer. All you need to do is ask the majority of Fortune 500 companies, and several of Virginia's private universities, that offer these benefits why they added them. Not because it costs more money, but because it makes good business sense and strengthens their bottom line. Virginia would be well served to follow their lead.

This is a common-sense measure that will strengthen all of Virginia's families (including covering a elderly parent who might be living with you, or an older child still living in the household - and enlists more people in private health insurance instead of relying upon medicare/medicaid).  It would also strengthen Virginia's workforce by providing an additional tool to recruit and retain the best candidates in the country.  It is also consistent with Governor-elect McDonnell's official opinion to the University of Virginia - where he clearly stated that these types of policies are NOT unconstitutional.

Thank you.
