General Information
Action Summary The Standards for Interdepartmental Regulation for Children’s Residential Facilities are promulgated by the Departments of Education; Juvenile Justice; Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services; and Social Services in order to ensure the consistent regulation of children’s residential facilities in Virginia. The regulation is intended to assure that a minimally acceptable level of care, treatment, and education are provided by children’s residential facilities. The regulation replaces the current Standards for Interdepartmental Regulation of Residential Facilities for Children. The current regulations are being repealed.
