| Action Summary |
In accordance with Section 9-6.1.14:4.1C.5 of the Administrative Process Act (APA) and Executive Order 24 (98), the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation is desiring to propose an emergency regulation entitled: 18 VAC 5-20-10 et seq. Virginia Board of Accountancy Rules and Regulations on behalf of the Board of Accountancy.
The enabling statute in Senate Bill 926 (1999) provided “That the Board of Accountancy shall promulgate regulations to implement the provisions of [the] act by October 1, 1999.” The emergency regulation is necessary because Virginia statutory law requires that a regulation be effective in 280 days or less from enactment of the law or the appropriation act.
