Purpose of legislation
To give the courts and persons convicted of driving under the influence a sentencing option that includes the use of remote alcohol monitoring devices as a condition of restricted driving privileges. The Commission on VASAP is required to develop regulations covering the use of remote alcohol monitoring devices for DUI offenders.
