Reject! Especially as a high school AP teacher.

Are you kidding me?  You can't protect everyone, and the realities of the real world will hit these kids sooner, rather than later.  And as most of us know our students, we know that they have already had to face a lot of adult realitites, and these texts which one may deem 'sensitive' often helps students relate and find comfort and knowledge in someone who has experienced the same thing.

How far will this go before things start being censored and banned?  It is ridiculous.  If a student or a parent has an issue with something, they contact me, we discuss it, and then I give an alternate assignment which I already have prepared.  This is absolutely ridiculous, and unecessary.
