Please do not enact the revisions that are pending.  The funding and support of counties in the development of their programs, the review of Gifted Plans, and in providing resources to support programs is essential in supporting not only the needs of our advanced learners, but also in supporting all students within the school.  A rising tide lifts every ship, eliminating funding and resources would diminish the value gifted programs serve in each of Virginia's localities.   The regulations as proposed are not supportive of gifted education, nor do they promote  best practices in the field of gifted education.
