I am very worried that money will not go to Gifted Education due to the proposed legislative changes.  Gifted Ed. is an important service/component of the public school and requires funding to have qualified teachers, pull out programs, extension options, resources, etc.  Please ensure that money designated for gifted services MUST be used for educating our brightest children.  The schools would not dream of eradicating funds for special education.... why are the gifted children not a priority with funding? 

I have two sons in a solid educational system but they both need more challenges than homeroom teachers offer... please keep the gifted program alive.  FUND IT.
