I recommend that state funds administered by the Department of Education for the education of gifted students be used only to support those activities identified in the school division’s Local Plan.  Virginia Beach is a huge division and this would negatively impact the gifted program.  I am both a parent and teacher of gifted students in this city and do NOT support these proposals.
