We all want our children to be successful and to get the quality education they need to thrive.  Many students need gifted education to meet their potential.  The proposed changes are alarming.  I believe it will lead to the end of gifted education in the state of Virginia.  In this county, the entire school system is constantly begging for minimal funding of basic education.  Only the state regulations ensure our gifted students of any funding at all.  Please don't abandon these children.
