As a parent of a gifted child, I am very pleased with the current program. My 8 yr old is challanged on a daily baises and excels in all subjects.The current system seems to be working well for us here in Va Bch. I do not agree with these amendments. I do not feel that enough energy has been spent exploring the possiable negative effects these changes could have on our future leaders. The current system provides our educators with the time and tools to make the right choises. I was enrolled in the Norfolk Va public schools back in the 70's. The local school board implemented many policy changes dureing those years. The results were devestating and thankfully, discontinued. Change can be a good thing but i can not see any reason to support this action. Truly - Paul Bagdon
