The gifted program was the corner stone for my childrens academic success.  My daughter is now attending college on a scholarship with a career in psychology in her future and my son is still in the program.

I understand the state is in a budget deficit and has to make budget cuts, but I do not think our childrens education should have to be an area that is tainted by this troublesome economy.  These children are our future and deserve every opportunity to expand their minds through special education they do not receive in a day to day classroom.

Please do not adopt the proposed regulations: 8VAC20-40-60 and 8VAC20-40-70.
