I am very concerned about the changes in the first and last paragraphs where  was “State funds administered by the Dept. of Education for the education of gifted students shall be used to support only those activities identified in the school division’s plan as approved by the Board of Education…”  I am concerned about the potential to water down the GT curriculum and the potential lack of an unbiased oversight.

While it is important that no child is left behind, it is equally important obligation that we invest in our future leaders, to ensure our country has diverse leaders from all socio, economical backgrounds. I  strongly believe that the public school system is the place that needs to ensure that happens. Our GT mantra should be “No Potential left behind”.
