As an elementary school professional for 28 years, I have seen many positive changes in the gifted education program. I feel that these students deserve the same educational interventions as other subgroups; i.e. special education, ESL. The program should be regulated by professionals in the field of gifted education. PLEASE support this important program that positively impacts our community. If we are to stay competitive with other cultures, we need to enrich the education of our students.
