I write in support of the Regional Green House Initiative (RGGI) as well as other pro-fossil fuel energy recommendations.

Virginia's participation in RGGI is a successful effort to reduce pollution while directly helping communities in jeopardy because of climate change. RGGI is already helping thousands of low-wealth families reduce energy bills and climate impacts. It also helps localities across the state to deal with increasingly devastating floods.

As people of conscience, it is essential to support initiatives like RGGI that help us achieve our goal to address the impacts of climate change and reach carbon-free energy by 2050.
