Climate change is finally knocking on the door. Willful ignorance will no longer do. It's time to lean into the energy transition and ensure a clean, equitable energy future for all Virginians. A transition away from fossil fuels that shorten our lives and destroy our environment is necessary. We can either fight it and be left behind - sicker and poorer. Or we can lean in and become a clean energy hub for the East Coast and beyond. We are blessed with a willing workforce, natural resources, and the perfect combination of policy, research, and entrepreneurial expertise within our Commonwealth. The purpose of the Virginia Energy Plan should be to accelerate the benefits of a cleaner energy system for all Virginians and our neighbors.
