Information Meeting and Live Online Broadcast Concerning Chapter 870 Regulatory Amendments – Land Development Regulations

Purpose of the meeting:   Learn about proposed changes to three VDOT land development regulations. These regulations include:
 
  • Access Management Regulations (24VAC30-72 and 24VAC30-73)
  • Secondary Street Acceptance Requirements (24VAC30-92)
  • Traffic Impact Analysis Regulations (24VAC30-155)

This broadcast and meeting will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at VDOT’s Central Office auditorium which is located at 1401 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia. 

VDOT will offer live online streaming video of the September 22nd meeting and the ability for viewers to e-mail comments and related questions during the meeting. This broadcast will also be video recorded so interested people can view the presentation and meeting after September 22nd. You can access this meeting online during the meeting day and time by going to

During the 2011 session, the Virginia General Assembly passed Senate Bill 1462, which became Chapter 870 of the 2011 Acts of Assembly, directing the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to solicit and consider public comment in the development of revisions to the above regulations.
  
The proposed regulation changes will be posted at the following website by September 14th:   http://www.virginiadot.org/projects/landuse.asp. The proposed changes can also be reviewed during the information meeting or at VDOT’s Central Office at 1401 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia. Please call ahead at 804-786-0966 to ensure appropriate personnel are available to answer your questions.
