Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes

DPOR has previously posted to Virginia Regulatory Town Hall many agency policies. This document is included in the agency’s listing of guidance documents. This document pertains to DPOR and its operations generally and is not regulatory in nature. This action will make amendments to the following guidance document on Virginia Regulatory Town Hall: Policy #100-11 – Agency Website. The policy provides clear and concise website content guidelines to the DPOR employees and contractors to ensure continuous access to accurate information through consistent management of the DPOR website. The following changes are made to the policy: a. Formatting of the document is changed. b. The title of the document “Internet Website” is replaced with the term “Agency Website.” c. The term “internet website” is replaced with “website” throughout the document. d. In the “Definitions” section, the terms “Internet;” “Hyperlink;”, and “Website” are removed. e. The definition of “Web Coordinator” is updated to reflect the current responsibilities of the position. f. The term “unit” is replaced with the term “section” throughout the document. g. The term “Communications Director” is replaced with “Communications and Digital Media Manager.” h. The term “operational units” is replaced with “department sections.” i. General provisions of the policy are updated to reflect current agency practice and are streamlined. j. Provisions regarding changes to the DPOR website are updated.
