Mandate Title:
Reduce Barber Entry Requirements to Implement Two-Tier Licensing
Purpose of legislation
Requires the Board for Barbers and Cosmetology to issue a license to practice as a master barber, defined in the bill, to applicants who have successfully (i) completed the educational requirements as required by the Board, (ii) completed the experience requirements as required by the Board, and (iii) passed the examination approved by the Board. The bill contains an emergency clause.
