This policy goes far deeper than  a child's sexuality. This is about the state taking away parental rights and pretending to parent the children themselves. Parents are scolded, and rightly so, because their children do not know how to behave in school and the school's hands can be tied. They are told that teachers are not babysitters but the state now wants to take all rights away from the parents and allow children to manipulate teachers and other children? I would happy be the first parent to sue the school and/ or the VDOE if a horny little boy decided he wanted to see my daughter change clothes in a locker room and was allowed to so. Their are differences in the sexes for a reason. They are kept separately for a reason. Why would the state care so little about the children they are supposed to be protecting by helping possible predators and bullys loose on innocent children. So, the state only seems to care about a few and are forsaking the whole. We have come to a new low in our society and it is being financed by our own tax dollars. If the VDOE has so little experience with children that they choose not to see the ramifications of the manipulation that is sure to follow this policy, then they need to get out of the business. The VDOE is supposed to be educating facts not legislating their own views.
