Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

STOP PUSHING IMMORAL POLICIES

This policy is an abomination!  Beyond ridiculous that you would require (and hold responsible) students and employees to use incorrect, imprecise, and flagrantly false language to describe some with a psychological problem.  Tired of LIBERAL POLICIES designed to decay our society further and further.  Nothing correct or noble about it.  The reality is that you will push more and more conservative families out of public schools because you can't  help yourselves. You just have to force people to swallow your poison pills.  Secondly, there is NOTHING to be prideful about with anything related to LGBTQ.  These remain psychological problems for those individuals.  I'd prefer to demonstrate compassion for these individuals but it's difficult to do so when absolute lies and distortions are coming out of the woodwork; it's also difficult when these issues are forced on people who have legitimate moral objections to them.  I'm not jumping into a delusional person's fantasyland nor will I permit my kids to do so either.  I will never call them by what they elect to be called when it's against nature and reason.  To do so is actually HARMFUL AND NOT COMPASSIONATE.  It is not brave to "come out" as transgender; nothing "heroic" about it (another liberal lie).  Public Schools are failing for a number of reasons....this is simply another reason why they should be de-funded or money siphoned from them and given to legitimate school choice programs/vouchers.
