Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Absolutely oppose this Bill. If passed, this will exploit and endanger innocent children.

I absolutely oppose this Bill. If passed it will endanger and exploit innocent young children. We have sunken to an all time low level as human beings when we dare harm out children. So we change bathroom and dressing room rules for the few gender confused, and involve children that have no idea what is going on. Haven’t we already taken society down the road to absolute destruction by disobeying the laws of God and nature. This is all to please a few. We remove the rights of the majority in order to please a minority. This is against our Constitution and the laws of the Creator. I implore you to vote against it.
Then you will require teachers to keep secrets of their minor students from their parents. Did the United States just get renamed Germany of WWII era? Please think long and hard about this. You might want to check a few history books of that timeframe and reconsider your actions. You are representing Virginians. You do NOT rule over us.
