We are doing the students of Virginia a disservice by trying to pass this legislation. 9 out of 10 adolescents who identify as the other sex will grow out of it by the time they are in their 20s and yet you are placing a disproportionate burden on teachers as well as fellow students to call these students by their "preferred" pronoun.
Not only that, but you are trying to supersede the right of the parent in this matter. A parent is their child's primary educator and also has their best interests at heart. The school system obviously does not, otherwise why would they be trying to cut them out and reporting parents for child abuse?
The real abuse of our children is the over-sexualization and fixation on sexual orientation in a classroom setting when what school's should really be focusing on is educating our children.
