Continuing Education

I beleive we all owe it to ourselves to continue to learn and stay abreast of the advances in technology, rules and regulations and laws that affect our practice. Should this be mandated by a regulator board if they are not willing to preapprove a course? I think not, the expense of a class and the time off work could never justify the burden imposed if someone after the fact wants to disclaim a the course/seminar. This doesn't make sense.

I do believe in continuing education. I'm already involved in the regulation with the state of North Carolina, it's no big deal. I'm required to have 15 hours per year. More Importantly, preapproved classes notifies me that I'm not throwing away hard earned money and time.
