Over Burdening the Professional

As a multi-state licensed land surveyor I already participate in manditory continuing education.  As long as board approved CEU in any state are are acceptable in VA, this would not pose any additional burden.  It's when each state has CE requirements with independant content does acquiring CEU specific to each state become almost impossible as well as extremely costly.  CE must be reciprocal and mutual among states and perhaps should be jointly regulated by the NCEES.

I also believe that several means of meeting the mandatory hours outside of a classroom should be made available such as attending association meetings, authoring publications, speaking at seminars and teaching, all related to our individual expertise, should be made alternatives for crediting CEU.
