My knowledge is not your knowledge

I am the owner/operator/sole emplyee of a residential design/build business.  During the last 30 years I have mastered the construction techniques needed to build a house.  The knowledge I that have accumulated informs my designs.  It is hand knowledge, not the sort that is offered in continuing education courses.  I have been improving myself continousely.  I doubt that any of it would qualify as Continuing Education as government defines it.

I quit the AIA rather than put up with CE courses.  They tend to be classes like how to market your firm or creative ways to fill out froms.  Not necessary. Not useful.  Expensive in time and money.
