Strongly Opposed to Mandatory CE

Please do not adopt this legislation.  This provides business for providers of continuing education, and no guarantee as to the quality or practicality of what they provide, or of the real benefit to those receiving it.  There are many valid ways for a professional to gain knowledge and competance such as independent research and study, mentoring and the like that are not formal education processes, but would not meet the requirements of most current mandatory CE programs in other states.  Please do not impose this burden on these professions in Virginia for the benefit of a few.
