Maintain the Status Quo

I understand your objective to maintain the practice of most current engineering with most current technical knowledge.  However, Engineer's constantly update themselves as practicing engineers.  To have CE as a manadatory requirement is overtaxing the industry and members of the engineering community who have made many sacrifices in order to acquire the license.  The Board wants to enforce policy that will constantly take your money and take the leisure time required to re-educate despite the rigors of a long and laborious career.  Will engineering salaries rise as a result of added CE investment? No and you know it, so don't introduce additional burdens on the already overworked engineer.  We are not payed like divorce lawyers!
