This is not a question of whether or not abortions should be permitted.  Rather, it is a issue of, since they are permitted, make the facilities where they are performed adhere to an appropriate level of cleanliness, sanitation, and accessibility for medical emergency response that is suitable for the performance of major surgery on a human being—the mother.  No matter what position you take on the abortion issue, it is unconscionable to subject a woman to unsanitary surgical conditions which do not provide ready access for emergency response in the event of a medical emergency during the procedure!
