Use of restraint

Hello, as a special education teacher I can tell you that the use of restraint or seclusion is not something that we want to do. However, we as the teachers have to ensure the safety of all children in the room. I have only restrained one student and I am trained in the state approved method. I have been punched, and kicked so hard you could see toe prints and knuckles. I have been bite hard enough to need stitches. I have been peed on had poop thrown at me and literally been spit in too many times to count. Teachers have rights as well as the students. There needs to be a way to help the students with the behaviors.
