According to a recent study, the human contibution to global warming is predicted to double over the next 40 years so that 50% of most wildlife species will disappear and the world population will be severely stressed.  Since Virginia's population growth has been a major contributor to this trend, it is our responsiblity to initiate environmentally safe energy programs and funding in order to safeguard the future for our children and to follow other states who are already ahead of Virginia in clean energy.
