No to PT's using needles! It's neither legal nor safe for them to do so. Leave acupuncture to LAc's!

Say NO to PT's using needles! It's neither legal nor safe for them to do so. They do not have anywhere near the necessary supervised training or experience required to competently and safely needle patients. They are deliberately trying to deceive the state by calling what is clearly acupuncture by the made up, false moniker, "dry needling" or "intramuscular therapy". This is and always has been under the scope of acupuncture and is actually a highly refined skillset that requires years of training to be done safely and effectively. Please, for the sake of all  the hard working, dedicated Chinese medicine practitioners out there and their patients, do the right thing and  leave acupuncture to LAc's. If PT's want to use needles, they can go to acupuncture school, just like everyone else. Thank you for upholding justice and protecting our patient population.
