PT's doing acupuncture

I don't feel any alternative or main stream practitioner's should be allowed to perform dry needling techniques (which really is acupuncture, without studying in great detail the Chinese anatomy, Chinese syndrome analysis, and many other diagnostic techniques.  Doing so would only limit patients ability to benefit from this wonderfully amazing healing art that has been around for more than 2000 years. It would be analogous to a personal trainer attempting to rehabilitate a person with a major injury with exercise alone. He or she may help the individual but they would not get the maximum benefit of all the modalities and other areas of expertise that a physical therapist or chiropractor is well trained in. Let's all stick with what we do best or get the full training required to perform other specialties.
