Yes to dry needling by trained physical therapists. It is not acupuncture and it relieves pain.

I have had acupuncture and dry needling; they are very different forms of treatment based on completely different underlying theories.   Dry needling by a trained PT is very effective in addressing pain associated with muscle issues; it greatly reduced my pain and helped restore range/flexibility.  My Orthopaedist and my family doctor both highly recommend dry needling.
