Dry Needling ~ A Highly Effective & Non-Opioid Based Pain Management Treatment

I was first introduced to the pain management technique of dry needling after a severe whiplash injury sustained during a car accident. Dry needling was such a relief to me both physically and mentally. I did not have to take pain medications to alleviate excruciating pain. Instead, my wonderful physical therapist was able to help quickly alleviate acute pain and eventually totally eliminate my pain from my whiplash injury with the use of dry needling. Once, I learned about dry needling, I thought, this is so awesome, such an effective non-medication based pain treatment exists. Since my whiplash injury, I have used dry needling for athletic based injuries as I knew the technique would work beautifully and it has. I fully support the use of dry needling by physical therapists in the treatment of pain management.
