Acupuncture is a wonderful treatment for many disorders and it required extensive training in clean needle technique to avoid the spreading of infections and proper needle insertion.  If the depth and angle are incorrect, it can hit nerves, blood vessels, or puncture lungs.  We know that physcial therapists are trained professionals, but their training is not in proper needle use and a weekend course is not sufficient.
